                       MARCH 12, 2019 -- DESERT REDEMPTION WILL BE RELEASED!

February 2, 2:30-4:30 Betty teaches "Write that Book!" at the Red Mountain (Mesa AZ) Library.   Come prepared to writer. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

February 9, 1:30-3:30 Betty teaches "Writing the Contemporary Mystery & Thriller" at the Mesa (AZ) Library, downtown Mesa. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

February 17, 2:30-4:30 Betty teaches "Writing Unforgettable Characters" at the Mesa (AZ) Library, downtown Mesa. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

March 14, 7 p.m.  Betty discusses writing DESERT REDEMPTION and the entire Lena Jones mystery series, then signs DESERT REDEMPTION at Poisoned Pen Bookstore, 4014 No. Goldwater Blvd., Scottsdale AZ

March 16, 12:30-2:30 Betty teaches "Getting Published" at the Mesa (AZ) Library, downtown Mesa. DESERT REDEMPTION will be available for sale. Self-publisher Connie Flynn will talk about Indy writing publishing. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

March 20, 6 p.m. Betty gives a talk titled "Ending a Series" and Desert Redemption, the final Lena Jones book, at the dinner meeting of Desert Sleuths, the local chapter of Sisters in Crime. The Newton, 300 W. Camelback Rd., Phoenix AZ

March 28, 5:30-7:30 Betty teaches "Getting Published" at the Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ) Library. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation.

March 30, noon-2 Betty discusses the writing life, especially the complications of working on DESERT REDEMPTION at the Authors and Books for College luncheon given by the Association of University Women, Phoenix Branch, on the campus of the Beatitudes, Phoenix AZ.

April 13, 1:30 p.m. Betty discusses writing DESERT REDEMPTION and her more lighthearted Gunn Zoo series at the Chantilly Reading Club luncheon, Tucson AZ.

April 13, 4 p.m. Betty discusses writing DESERT REDEMPTION at Clues Unlimited, 3154 East Fort Lowell Road, Tucson AZ.

In the April/Spring edition of Mystery Scene Magazine #159, you'll see a full page, full color article about Betty and DESERT REDEMPTION so be sure and pick up a copy. It should be on the news stands beginning April 15.

April 15, 7 p.m. Betty discusses the Lena Jones series and signs DESERT REDEMPTION as well as her other books at Mysterious Galaxy, 5943 Baboa Ave., San Diego, CA.

April 16, 2 p.m. Betty will discuss the role of cults in DESERT REDEMPTION, at Book Carnival, 348 So. Tustin St., Orange AZ.

April 17, 1 p.m. Betty will discuss and sign DESERT REDEMPTION at Mystery Ink, 8907 Warner Ave., #135, Huntington Beach, CA. Refreshments and fun!

April 26, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Betty will discuss the challenges of bringing a long book series to an end with DESERT REDEMPTION at the Desert Foothills Library, Schoolhouse Road, Cave Creek AZ. Books will be available for purchase.

Beginning May 1 through July 31, Betty will be the Writer-in-Residence at the Tempe (AZ) Public Library, giving writing classes and holding one-on-one consultations with aspiring writers. She will serve in that capacity throughout May, June, and July. Part of the Writer-in-Residence Program, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation. May 14, 5:30-8:30. Betty discusses love and murder at the Romance Writers of America dinner meeting, 17233 N. 45th Ave., Glendale AZ. Betty's GUNN ZOO cozies will be featured.

May 29, 6:30-8 p.m. Betty will give a talk about the joys and miseries of writing a complicated series, while still trying to lead a normal life. But DESERT REDEMPTION will be the real star. At the monthly dinner meeting of Scottsdale Women Writers, Starfire Country Club, Scottsdale AZ.

November 10, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Betty will be a panelist/presenter at Ladies of Intrigue, a day spent with fine food and panels of delightful women mystery writers. Mesa Verde Country Club, Orange County, AZ. For information, contact Mystery Ink, 714-960-4000.
